This 10 Day Wildlife and Primate Safari starts with a visit to the primate capital of the world – Kibale National Park to see habituated chimpanzees and other primates species like olive baboon red tailed monkey, black and white colobus in their biome. Then you will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife game drives and a boat cruise with expectations to see abundant wild animals and a variety of bird species such as grey crowned crane, pied kingfisher, water thick knee, African Jacana, white winged warbler, verreaux’s eagle owl, black bee eater, nightjars, shoebill stork, grey headed kingfisher, white winged terns, African fish eagle among others. This Safari continues to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to encounter our might cousins – habituated Mountain Gorillas. You will also encounter another boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi, the second deepest lake in Africa.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
You will meet our driver guide and transfer to your Hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, check in at your reserved lodge to relax, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Travel to Kibale National Park
Early morning breakfast, meet your driver who will brief you on what you will see while on safari, you will transfer to western Uganda to Kibale National Park for 5 hours, stopover in Fortportal Town for lunch and continue to Kibale National Park. Check in at your reserved lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and Swamp Walk
Early morning breakfast will be serve, meet your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu where you will meet fellow trekkers, gather in the briefing room, at 8:00 am every group of four to five people will be accompanied with a well trained ranger guide to the thick forest of Kibale National Park to see Chimpanzees and other primates, a trek which usually takes 2 hours or more depending on how long you will trek in the jungle searching for chimps. You will then drive back to Kanyanchu to collect your Chimpanzee Trekking Certificate. Return to the lodge, refresh up, relax and have lunch, after lunch you will embark on an afternoon swamp nature walk in Bigodi Wetland to see various bird species and primates species. Return to the lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning breakfast will be served, check out of your lodge, meet your driver guide and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at your reserved lodge, relax, have lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive to see many animals like buffalo, elephants, lions, topi, duikers among others. Return to the Lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and afternoon boat cruise
Early morning breakfast at 6:30 am, meet your driver guide, you will start your morning game at 7:00 am to see lions, leopard, elephant, buffalo, warthog, topis, bush bucks, duiker and many bird species, return to the lodge 11:30 am refresh up, relax, have lunch and embark on a boat cruise at 2:00 pm on Kazinga Channel to see elephant, hippos and crocodiles in and on the banks of the channel taking water. Return to the lodge late in the evening, refresh up, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early morning breakfast, meet your drive guide and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for 3 hours, Uganda is a home to over 460 habituated mountain gorilla in 5 sectors namely Buhoma, Ruhija, Rushaga and Nkuringo in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Nyakagezi in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Check in at your reserved lodge, relax, have lunch and embark on a community walk to see the Batwa, it is believed that these people have lived in thick forests of Bwindi and Mgahinga for more than 100 decades. Return to the lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
After morning breakfast will be served, meet your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarters to join a gathering of fellow trekkers in the briefing room where you will be briefed about the rules and regulations before tracking mountain gorillas in their biome. You will be accompanied by a well trained ranger guide, a porter if you need assistance in the forest since the terrain of the forest is usually steep and sometimes muddy.  Gorilla trekking usually takes 2-6 hours depending on the distance you might trek in search of mountain gorillas, some mountain gorilla families stay very deep in forest, upon seeing mountain gorillas you are allowed to see and take photographs of the gentle giants for one hour. Return to the Park headquarters to pick your Gorilla Tracking Certificate, check out of your lodge and depart for Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 8: Morning Boat Cruise and Hike the hills
Early Morning breakfast will be served, at 8:00 am you will embark on a boat cruise around the many islands of the Lake with good sights of cultivated steep slopes and the neighboring mountains namely Mount Muhavura, Mount Gahinga and Mount Sabyinyo, return to the lodge relax, have lunch and embark on an afternoon nature walk around the surrounding hill of the Lake, expect to see rare bird species grey crowned crane, African green broadbill, brown necked parrot, white-bellied robin chat, Frazer’s eagle owl and white-tailed blue flycatcher among others. Return to the Lodge, relax, serve dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Early morning breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer to Lake Mburo, upon reaching the Park you will welcomed by the colorful animals like zebras, giraffes, warthogs, impalas, buffalo, hyenas, hippos, antelopes, crocodiles among others, check in at your reserved Lodge, refresh up, relax and have lunch. In the afternoon you will embark on a 2 hour boat cruise to see aquatic animals like hippos and crocodiles. Return to the lodge, relax, have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning Game Drive and transfer to Kampala or Entebbe
Early morning breakfast, meet your driver guide and embark on your last game drive in the Pearl of Africa, return to the lodge have lunch and transfer to Kampala with a stopover at the Equator for photography, continue with the journey to Kampala or Entebbe depending on location of your reserved lodge, you will arrive late in the evening.
